i'm back here for some reason!

    • Anonymous asked: Marvel's current Mighty Avengers might be the weirdest comic I've ever seen in a while. I'm not reading it and I never will, because it's as hypocritical as it gets. With the insane amount of black characters on the roster (almost every single black superhero in the Marvel universe is in the team) it's obviously meant for black people. Not for white people. Not for asians. Not for hindus. Not for martians. Only for black people. It's ... it's ... it's ****ing racist!

So you’re not reading it, and you never will, but you profess to know what it’s all about?

That seems a strange way to gather such information!

Plus, you’re simply wrong here. As you’d know if you read an issue.

      But therein lies the madness.

If it’s not the book for you, that’s perfectly fine. Not every comic is for every reader.

But MIGHTY AVENGERS is meant for all readers.

Aaand this would be why the “if the current pasty white / cis-male dominated / queerbaiting and queer-ignoring product isn’t good enough for you, go make your own” argument is crap.

Because when anyone attempts to “make their own” with more than one or two black people, suddenly the comic book / novel / movie / web series / TV show is “racist”.

When there’s a majority of women and only a few non-antagonist men, the piece of media is “sexist”.

The movie that shows no nudity, no sex, no violence, but does show an older gay couple being affectionate on the level of kisses and snuggles gets rated R.

And it’s even worse when it’s being like this jerk-baby anon who has just decided this crap, independent of consuming the media.
